As we seek to understand the influences that we have experienced, as well as the experiences we’ve yet to have, we search for an answer as to what force we must keep in reserve to help us on our path toward our destiny. To visualize these influences and counter-energies, we will call upon the layout of the “four winds” that we may learn of our adversaries and allies in our mental battle for safety.

Each morning, I engage in conversation with my gods. During which they offer me wisdom and guidance, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my experiences throughout the years, and especially over the last several decades, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s talks. However, as I offer you the wisdom given to me, I encourage you to seek the answers within yourself, as each of us travels a different path, therefore our perspectives are a little different. 

To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Mannaz, the rune of perfected intellect. The many experiences we have endured within our past have instructed our consciousness in many things we may not even be aware of at this time; however, the lessons have been stored nonetheless. It is through these experiences that our trajectory has laid itself out before us and continued us moving forward on it. These lessons have given us the social order within our mind to embrace the divine structure necessary to grow.

Our present influence is that of Berkano, and today, in our present, if offers us cautions. While the lessons of the past have altered the path, we have traveled to arrive here in our present may have been difficult and may attempt to cause us to become reserved and avoid further changes, we must embrace the understandings from our past as lessons necessary to grow in the right manner. While the cautions of Berkano warn us against the energies of conspiracy and deceit, being true to the lessons of the past will continue to move us forward.

To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Hagalaz, the rune of chaos. Although Hagalaz indicates a substantial amount of chaos within our future, it also reminds us that order can only be born from chaos, for it has no origin without it. Being open and accepting to the chaotic energy of the future prepares us to creating the necessary plans that we may remain in some resemblance of order as the chaos ushers in new changes within our lives. Inner harmony is established by maintaining our intrinsic order.

To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Nauthiz, the rune of action. Nauthiz indicates that we must maintain the willingness and ability to apply action steps to our future, never forgoing the necessity of our commitment to the processes that manifest our ever-changing reality. It also recognizes the idea that there will be resistance, and that we must maintain the constant thrust to achieve that which we desire. You are your best ally to complete this next step of your journey.

How can we use this today?

We must take action. Using the lessons of the past, procrastination is not an ally that we need to keep if are desire is to maintain our spiritual growth. Whether that action be think”ing”, or do”ing”, the idea that we must initiate the next step is solely within our field of battle to complete. Do not become stagnate, march forward, keep the pressure against our challenges.
