Our present influence is that of Sowilo, the rune of the soul. Our present is guided by the power of Sowilo, indicating that we are discovering our life’s purpose. We are initiating the action necessary to move us from the chaos of our past to that of order and understanding. Sowilo reveals that we are becoming whole, even if we don’t feel like it. While some of our existence may still seem to be chaotic and haphazard, the intrinsic infrastructure is being formed to move forward. Today the rune is cautioning us about over extending ourselves, trying to be too much to too many people at the same time. In much the same way we maintain our physical bodies through sustenance, we must also ensure we are maintaining our emotional health as well. Ihwaz represents the Kundalini, or divine feminine, which encourages us to embrace an emotional intellect, to fulfill the intrinsic necessity of nurture, instead of nature.
