To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Berkano, and in today’s reading it is in an upright state, which typically indicates that we should witness some of the effects within the physical realm. Berkano represents the power of a birch grove, which can serve as a safe place in times of need. It would seem that we may have exercised an extreme of safety in opening our hearts to the ancestral connection from the spiritual realm. Berkano in its upright position indicates that we may have struggled to find shelter during the life changes that have occurred throughout our lifetime and may have become over-protective of our mental safe. Sometimes its acceptable to be “outside the box”.
Our present influence is that of Tiwaz, the rune of the god Tyr. The courage of Tyr in our present in an upright position indicates that you have become aware of your need to become the warrior of the mind that you can be. Tiwaz also indicates that we can enact justice, to re-establish the balance of to the scales of our lives. As we move forward within our trajectory, we must remember that it is good to retain this balance within our lives throughout. For the justice of our existence truly resides in the balance we obtain between our spiritual and physical selves.
To reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Isa, the rune of Ice. Having this rune given to us by the gods in our future suggest that our future will contain a time when we achieve our unity of our being, successfully balancing our two halves, physical and spiritual. The rune of Isa in our future identifies the necessity of self-control and indicates that we can accomplish this as we achieve the life balance between the ego and the consciousness. While ice can be very dangerous, it can also be beautiful. Most importantly we need to be aware that many things may be hidden behind the surface of this rune.
To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Kenaz. Today the rune occurs in our reading in an upright position indicating that we should exercise humility in our daily exercises, as we being illuminated as we move forward in this existence. This run indicates that there is more information and interactivity with our creative sides that need to be retained regardless of what influences attempt to break that, as the creative energies are the highway in which our ancestors can communicate with us.
Today’s Affirmations
While the runes the gods have given us today identify our forward path, from those moments of a perceived need for safety and security, to the moments when we really needed this safety, we find a growth of incoming information and the comfort in acknowledging it. Today we exercise the courage of the god Tyr to enact the justice offered by our previous information to return the scales of our life back to a balanced position, as we embrace the heart of the warrior. This embracing leads us to the place where we will come to accomplish a “unity of being” by securing our physical and spiritual forms together to form the wholeness of our existence. For as we apply the justice of the god Tyr to the information, we are receiving with the safety net of knowing how we can protect ourselves with the shields we have established in our past, we now begin the battle for our minds. A battle that we can win.
