Energies to Remain the same
      Ihwaz – Protection, endurance, movement toward enlightenment.

Today we reveal the courage of Tyr, the Norse god of courage. Our past influences are represented by the rune Fehu. This rune shows us that we have had to work with controlling the energies of our environment to experience the foresight of new beginnings. Each moment is an opportunity for us to change, sometimes for the better, sometimes, not so much. Our past, and the rune Fehu, shows us that we can make a choice and that those choices will lead to a different trajectory.

Currently, the influences around us are represented by that of Thurisaz. Thurisaz represents the constructive conflict going on within our mind. We are reminded by the display of this rune that our directed energy will allow us to foster the growth within ourselves, creating a balance between itself and the reactive forces that are attempting to sway our thought processes.

The future influences are represented here by (what my ancestors taught me as) Odinn’s rune. While it demonstrates a blank, it also represents the opportunities, as we can make the future whatever we want it to be. By controlling the energies entering our mind and affecting our emotional state, we have the authority and power to make a conscious choice to seek joy and harmony. By displaying what is referred to as Odinn’s rune, we have caught the attention of the all-father, who invites us to seek wisdom and peace.

As we travel down the path, along the trajectory of our choosing toward the destiny of enlightenment, we must remember that there will always be the robbers along the road. These robbers attempt to draw away our energies and sway our thought process, sometimes toward the negativity that they promote. We must remain vigilant to this and incorporate the protection of our thought process constantly, keeping our guard at the ready.
