Attentiveness to the cultivation of our present life is important, but you should lay down the wisdom for the future self.

Ehwaz (Inverted) – “Its psychological meaning is sexuality and trust between individual beings. Its energy is cooperation and trust. When it shows up in divination, it means friends, loyalty, marriage, trust, teamwork, and harmony. If it is reversed, it means an enemy, indecision, nightmares, betrayal, mistrust, disharmony, and duplication.

Future Influences
Nauthiz – “Its psychological meaning is effort, need, and resistance. Its energy is urgency, coming forth into being, and necessity. If this rune appears in divination, it could mean achievement through effort, personal development and life lessons, need-fire or self-reliance, innovation, recognition of your ultimate truth, or resistance.

Kenaz – “Its psychological meaning is humility, cognitive faculties, clarity of through, and observation. Its energy is illumination, teaching-learning dynamic, transformation, and controlled energy. When Kenaz appears in divination, it can mean new information, offspring, transformation, craft, technical or artistic ability.

Each morning, I engage in prayer, or communion with my gods. Each day they offer me wisdom and knowledge, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with me that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my engagements throughout the years, and especially lately, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s prayers.

To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Jera, and Jera of course being the rune or the natural ebb and flow of life. The gods have shown me that our past has been filled with allowing experiences to manipulate us, while controlling that influence at other times. Jera represents the seasons that pass, not so much as time per-se, but more about one natural experience changing to another state. Like breathing, the inhale drives the exhale, for we cannot have one without the other. The rune of Jera in our past indicates that we have learned what it means to manage our movement upon our path, whether we choose to exercise that wisdom is up to each of us.

Our present influence is that of Ehwaz, and it reveals itself in an inverted position. Our past has taught us how to manage the flow of our trajectory, Ehwaz indicates the why. Ehwaz speaks about the establishment of trust, and its application to everything we experience. Although in its inverted position, it indicates some indecision is currently affecting the way we are processing our thoughts. Maybe we have lost the trust in our intrinsic guidance system, or discovered that some of the foundations within our belief system have been proven faulty, thereby causing disharmony within our thoughts. The key here is that Ehwaz reveals to us, in our present, is that we must embrace the trust within ourselves more tightly. As these indecisions and confusion cloud our judgement, we must trust ourselves to direct our trajectory the way we need it to go.

To reveal our future influences, we have drawn Nauthis, and is always, in an indeterminate position. With the rune being revealed in an inverted position, the first take away from it is the cautionary thoughts surrounding it. Nauthiz is the rune representing the work necessary, or effort required, and its energy is urgency. With this rune appearing in our future, it would indicate that the cautions it delivers are for the more immediate future. While achievement through our effort, and personal development should always be on our horizon, we should be cautious about our headings to ensure we arrive at where we want to be. Ultimately, Nauthiz declares that we will find our ultimate truth, we must simply be very cognizant of the headings, particularly during any storms within our lives.

To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Kenaz. In today’s casting, Kenaz is in an upright position that would indicate that the influences that we should retain are of more positive ones. Kenaz brings new information, or intellect about different perspectives available to us that we may not have considered before. Keeping an open mind to alternate solutions offers us better opportunities to see past the current challenge to our path ahead.

Today’s Affirmation

Today’s runes reveal a path of learning to manage the ebb and flow of our trajectory through this lifetime. An extended education in emotional management that has led us to understand the intense importance of understanding our emotional states, and their value to us. Hopefully, we are keeping our eyes open now for more lessons in the application of trust to what we have already learned, and again, trust that we will make the correct decisions moving forward. Primarily we are being told to trust in what we’ve learned, believe in ourselves. Although our future presents cautions, these cautions simply reveal that we will have to put some “elbow-grease” into some effort of getting things done, not relying on others, but focus our energy and talents on getting the necessary tasks completed. We are in charge of our destiny, trust in ourselves, focus our thoughts, and put forth the effort, and success will win the day.
