Isa – “It could mean the unity of being, self-control, ego-consciousness, or concentrated self.”

Perthro (Inverted) – “It could mean unknowability, fantasy, delusion, loneliness, stagnation, emotional or psychological addictions, or doom.”

Wunjo – “It could mean prosperity, accomplishment, fellowship, harmony, or joy.”

Ansuz (Inverted) – “It could mean bad advice, boredom, manipulation by others, delusion, or misunderstanding.”

Each morning, I engage in prayer, or communion with my gods. Each day they offer me wisdom and knowledge, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with me that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my engagements throughout the years, and especially lately, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s prayers.

To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Isa. The gods have shown me that our memories of our past may include multiple periods where we may have been paralyzed within our emotional growth. By allowing our thought process to be overwhelmed by emotional backlash caused by a separation between our perceived necessary existence and that of our authentic self. The rune Isa cannot be inverted therefore it provides us with little to no cautions as to our forward trajectory. Much like the ice it represents, sometimes it is difficult to see if it is thick enough to support our weight. Isa in today’s reading reveals to us the reality of our two, distinct selves that need to be maintained in balance.   

Our present influence is that of Perthro, and it reveals itself in an inverted position, simply implying that we should be “on our guard” throughout our present. In the reality of my understanding from the gods, our journey through this lifetime has been plotted and laid out before us, however, our experience of this journey is what will fulfill our wildest imagination as to the emotions embraced. Our lifetime is filled with experiences that are the product of many different trajectories intersecting at one point. While one can become easily lost in attempting to understand the entirety of these interactions in time and space, our season is simply to recognize and remember how we feel. We need to be sure we do not succumb to the delusion of understanding it all, as we are experiencing some things for the first time in history.

To reveal our future influences, we have drawn Wunjo, and it is in an upright position. Wunjo is the rune of hope, among many other interpretations, it reveals that we will experience a period of great hope in the outcomes of our future. In the same way, it indicates an optimism about joining with like-minded people to further our growth while we share our experiences that others may grow from. In today’s reading, Wunjo is demonstrating a feeling of accomplishment, of obtaining harmony and joy in our existence. We need to ensure that we embrace our future path and recognize that there are positive events and energies that await us there.

To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune, Ansuz in an inverted position. By drawing Ansuz in our retaining position this would indicate that we have been seeking and will need to continue to seek our ancestral connection to the spiritual realm. While the rune being displayed in an inverted position would indicate a level of caution, understanding that the caution would indicate here that we want to ensure these perspectives are retained. We know that memory is the best teacher, and in this case, we want to ensure that the lessons of accepting bad advice, and being manipulated by others, are firmly remembered, as it would seem they may be re-arriving into our experience of reality. 

Today’s Affirmation

The runes we have cast today reveal a journey that brings many threats to the sanctity of our thought process, through an attempt to disrupt our emotional balance that we have achieved. Both our past and present positions indicate that caution should be exercised as threats from the many different intersections with our experiences. While many different individuals (both physical and not) are going to interact with us somehow, we must be cautious as to not fall victim to accepting bad advice or false prophesy. We should strongly remember that not all individuals’ entities are of light and may not have our best interest at heart. Listen to our hearts, as it will reveal the true path to those who will help to guide us. Remember our humility, as each and every experience we have may be completely different, even if we have experienced it a thousand times. Because of the interactions of new individuals, combined with our emotional travels, laid on top of our changing DNA, may create an entirely new experience. Be open to grow through these experiences and continue to seek the ancestral connections you have made, as well as creating new ones. Soon, the rune of hope will expose your manifestation to this reality.
