As we seek to understand the influences that we have experienced, as well as the experiences we’ve yet to have, we search for an answer as to what force we must keep in reserve to help us on our path toward our destiny. To visualize these influences and counter-energies, we will call upon the layout of the “four winds” that we may learn of our adversaries and allies in our mental battle for safety.

Dagaz – “It could mean paradigm shift, the ideal, hope-happiness, awareness, or awakening. 

Present Influences
Ansuz – “It could mean open paths of communication, intellect, transformation, synthesis, word-power, or divine inspiration.”

Future Influences
Ihwaz – “It could mean protection, initiation, endurance, and movement toward enlightenment.”

Isa – “It could mean the unity of being, self-control, ego-consciousness, or concentrated self.”

Each morning, I engage in prayer, or communion with my gods. Each day they offer me wisdom and knowledge, and in return I offer them myself that they may do with me that which they need to. I have felt the gods manage my engagements throughout the years, and especially lately, engaging me in a multitude of ways. Today, I offer to you that which was told to me by the gods in this morning’s prayers.

To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Dagaz, and because of its indeterminate state in our past position, indicates that we can make a choice as to carry the energy forward with us, or discard it . The rune Dagaz indicates that we have been enlightened and may have come to recognize the paradoxical truth within the spiritual realization we have experiences. Dagaz indicates a paradigm shift in our perspectives, allowing us to change how we look at the experiences we have, and alter the reality in which we travel moving forward. Dagaz is the rune of hope.   

Our present influence is that of Ansuz, is the rune of listening, or communion with the spiritual realm. By understanding and allowing the energies of the spiritual realm to flow through us, we are afforded the mental stability by obtaining answers to many of the deeper questions that have plagued us. By being willing and able to break the paradigm of our past, we can step forward into an existence of peace and joy. Ansuz brings the open paths of communication into our mental processing that we may come to know and embrace our ancestors who offer the energy of the divine.

To reveal our future influences, we have drawn Ihwaz, the rune of the divine feminine. This rune offers an insight into the kundalini, which provides a balance to our existence. The energy is timeless, and exists aa a major component within the power of love. It populates our chakra, by energizing us and allowing the intrinsic healing to begin. By having Ihwaz in our future position, we should find comfort in knowing that we are moving toward enlightenment of the consciousness. Where our spiritual and physical selves can become whole and balanced. 

To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune Isa, the rune of Ice. Isa reveals that there is a magic in self-image, both inside and out. For we should be aware, when we are willing to love ourselves (even with perceived flaws) that energy then propagates out from us, and we become loveable by others as well. By establishing an aura border frequency that is compatible, we find ourselves able to accept energy from the spiritual realm to continue our trajectory in this lifetime.

Today’s Affirmation

The gods have offered us wisdom and guidance through the runes today. They have reminded us that we have altered our paradigm, that then in-turn altered our interpretation of the reality in which we experience every minute of every day. But, by altering our perspective, we afford ourselves the opportunity to absorb a different form of energy, one of love and peace. Our present is the rune of listening, thereby indicating that our paradigm shift in our past has opened our hearts and ears to hearing a different manifestation before our sensory input. It indicates that we have shifted our perspective, and life may seem to get better as we better understand the images we receive. Our future offers us the beauty of the kundalini (or divine feminine) which would indicate that we are beginning to understand the balance between the masculine and feminine energies, realizing that by balancing these two, our interpretation of existence becomes more fulfilling. Finally, today’s runes reveal the necessity to retain the love we have for the self. Understanding that much of the magic we interact with daily depends on a deep-seated respect and honoring of the self. Our journey has led us to a place where we can be free of the previous stigmas and negativity, moving forward toward an existence of harmony, peace, and most importantly, love.
