Uruz (Inverted) – “Brutality, insensitivity, uncontrolled rage, ignorance, sickness, inconstancy, misdirected force, obsession, or weakness.”
 
To reveal the influences of our past, we have drawn the rune of Isa, the rune of ice. The revelation of Isa within our past recognizes the influence that your spiritual discoveries have had on your self-image, and self-worth. Associating our ancestry into our understandings of what has come together in such a way to form who we have become is a powerful ally in restoring the intrinsic value of the self. You are well on your way to learning who you are, and as importantly, where you are going in this physical lifetime.
 
Our present influence is that of Kenaz, and it is in an upright position. With Kenaz appearing in our present, we are beginning to gain a clarity of thought on a great many things. Our cognitive faculties are increasing at an accelerated pace, expanding our understanding of the illumination offered by other lifeforms of this existence. We are beginning to understand the much larger picture of spirituality, as a whole, and allowing it to flow through our heart and mind.
 
To further reveal our future influences, we have drawn the rune of Sowilo and it is in an indeterminate position. The indecisiveness of Sowilo indicates that we can choose to travel one path or another, the future is not carved in stone anywhere, thereby offering us the freedom to choose. Sowilo appearing in our future is indicative of the arrival at the seat of the soul, closely connecting our heart with that of the spiritual mind within the spiritual realm. It means to become whole, or to become one. To bind closely our physical and spiritual parts and establish a balance between the two.
 
To understand what influences we should retain, we have drawn the rune Uruz in an inverted position. With Uruz in the position that it is, it teaches us that we should never forget the memories of the past, those thought processes that were formed by the insensitivity of others. While our future presents a connection to the soul, we must remember that it was our past that got us to this point, therefore ensuring that we retain those influences of what has been introduced to our lives as nothing more that beacons at which to avoid again, in addition to preventing others from finding that path. 
 
My gaze into the spiritual realm to the intellect provided by the deities today indicates a path of growth for each of us. While maybe not the bolts of lightning from Thor, the gentle influx of intellect and wisdom from other lifeform’s experiences, washes over us as we focus our mind on reaching the soul. The runes tell of a journey that you have undertaken, and that the scenery along this path has become more aligned with that which you imagined. The infinity that lies within the spiritual realm offers intellect beyond the capability of the physical mind, yet, your ability to create a catalog of sort has afforded you the opportunity to slowly wade into the endless wisdom, like that of a shallow pool. We must remember our past, keep the lessons we have taken away, ensuring that others do not journey down that path. Be the beacon of light you are beginning to become.
