Today’s Insight Past Influential Energies       Uruz (Inverted) – Insensitivity, uncontrolled rage, ignorance, misdirected force. Present Influential Energies       Wunjo (Upright) – Fellowship, joy, accomplishment, harmony. Future Influential Energies       Tiwaz – (Upright) – Even-handedness, honesty, faith, justice. Energies to Remain the same       Algiz – Protection, higher life, awakenings, connection to the gods.
Here in the United States, today we celebrate the feast of Thanksgiving, recognizing the gratitude. As the runes point out for us today, our past is filled with ignorance and misdirected force. This may have brought periods of rage and insensitivity as we intrinsically fought to rediscovery our path.
As highlighted by the rune Wunjo, today we embrace the influence of fellowship, joy, harmony as we recognize our accomplishments and establish a level of gratitude for what we have been offered. Simply by visiting this site and reading these runes, you have sought fellowship along your journey.
Tiwaz is, of course, the rune of the god Tyr, who represents the justice and laws of the universe. So too do these traits align with our future path as we must always remember to remain in balance with our fellow life forms to establish a harmony. Remember, to have harmony, one must possess and even-handedness to establish the balance.
Finally we have the rune Algiz. Algiz recognizes the protection of our spiritual selves by the gods and goddesses, retaining a connection to these gods through that same spiritual self. This last rune recognizes those things we have about us to remain the same as they are today, indicating that we already have an establishment to the gods, that we can retain. Embrace our spiritual side, but remember to balance it with our physical side.
