In this episode the Shaman is joined by his grandfather to discuss the celebration of Yule, among other things, meant that we were half way through the winter portion, or last half of the year, or midwinter. We celebrated the winter soltace, embracing the hope for the summer to arrive where things would come back to life and the warmth would return to the lands. It was a very important celebration within the many different Norse communities. However, that meant that it quickly became a target of the new religion from the south.
